The first step to admission at CCC is to visit the school and meet with a director. At this meeting the parent will tour the facility and observe in the classrooms. After this meeting, if the parent wishes to be placed on the wait list, a nonrefundable fee will be charged and the child will be registered as of that day. Admission is on a first come, first serve basis with preference given to CCC siblings and Carter Church members. When a child is accepted into the program, a nonrefundable two week deposit is required which will be held until a child's last two weeks at CCC. Applications are considered without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, marital status, political belief or cultural heritage. New children are admitted into the program in September or if a space opens in the age appropriate class through the year. Children progress with their whole class to the next program once a year in September. A child's placement in a particular class is based on chronological age with developmental considerations taken into account. Enrollment schedules Enrollment schedules vary according to the needs of parents and child. At the time of admission, a parent selects a two, three, or five day schedule and signs a contract from September through August. A parent may request a change mid-year. Directors try to accommodate changes in family situations whenever possible. The kindergarten day at Carter is built around the child's individual kindergarten program. Parents of kindergarteners sign a contract from September through June 30 and the summer program is optional. On days when public kindergarten is closed and CCC is open, an enrolled child can attend for a full day at no additional cost. Tuition Tuition is payable in advance and is due every other week. A payment schedule will be given to every parent. Kindergarten tuition includes van transportation to and/or from Needham Public School. A child who is enrolled for five days per week and leaves by 3:30 daily is eligible for reduced tuition, as is a sibling of a five day enrolled student. Current tuition schedules are available upon request. Early Withdrawal Withdrawal of a child before the end of the agreed upon contract period requires tuition payment from parent of the withdrawn child until another child has been enrolled to fill the vacancy. Schedule Changes Changes in your child's CCC schedule must be discussed with the directors. We will attempt accommodation whenever space availability and staff scheduling can be accomplished without disruption to others. |
