For Our Parents
Parent Involvement
Carter believes that children benefit from parents and staff collaborating to provide a solid foundation for children. There are a variety of ways parents can be involved. Parents are always welcome to visit their child’s class to share a story or family tradition. There are also a few planned events such as, class breakfasts and an end of year picnic. In addition there is a parent organized Silent Auction fundraiser in conjunction with the Celebration of Art. Proceeds from this event benefit TheCare Fund which supports scholarships, enrichment programs, staff development and equipment purchases.
Parent/Teacher ConferencesTwice a year a CCC staff member meets formally with individual parents to discuss their child’s development, their activities and participation at the Center. Parents and teachers collaborate on goals for the child. With prior notice to a teacher and/or director, individual parental conferences can be arranged at any time in addition to the two yearly meetings.
